Summer Camps at Halleck Creek Ranch

Summer is full of fun at Halleck Creek Ranch.

Located in beautiful Nicasio, our camps give children and young adults a safe, welcoming place to learn about horses, build confidence, and make new friends.

We offer two different camp experiences:

  • Inclusive Horsemanship Camp (mounted riding) — held at Old Rancheria

  • Ranch Camp (unmounted experience) — held at RockRose Ranch

Both camps focus on learning, connection, and fun in nature.

  • Small groups (maximum of 8 campers per week)

  • Guidance from trained instructors and dedicated volunteers

  • A safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment

  • Clear daily structure and routines

  • Time outdoors each day with horses and nature

  • Opportunities for friendship and social connection

  • Activities that build confidence, independence, and practical skills

Our Goal

Our goal is simple: To create a place where every camper feels supported, capable, and proud of what they can do.

New Camper Orientation

If a student or camper is new to Halleck Creek Ranch, our staff will typically schedule an initial ranch tour, orientation, and participant assessment prior to the start of camp.

This visit allows families to:

  • Become familiar with the ranch and facilities

  • Meet members of our team

  • Help us learn more about the camper’s needs and goals

It also allows our staff to thoughtfully select the appropriate horse and volunteer support team, ensuring each camper has the best possible opportunity to feel comfortable, safe, and successful during their time at camp. If you are new, after filling our an application for camp, we will reach out to get to know you!
